Body Reflections
Understand your body — without turning it into something you need to fix.
Understanding your body shape and proportions can make getting dressed considerably easier.
But knowing that a particular neckline, trouser shape or silhouette works beautifully with your proportions is only part of the picture.
Because you still have to feel comfortable in those clothes.
They have to work with your personal style, your lifestyle, your preferences and, importantly, the relationship you have with your body.
Body Reflections combines personalised body and proportion analysis with guided self-reflection to help you understand both how clothes interact with your individual proportions and how you want to dress the body you have today.
It’s body-shape analysis with you, rather than the rules — at the centre of it.

Have you ever wondered why some clothes just seem to work?
You put something on and somehow everything feels balanced.
The proportions look right.
The fabric falls beautifully.
You feel comfortable and put together without having to constantly adjust what you’re wearing.
And then there are the clothes that look wonderful on somebody else or even on the hanger, but somehow never seem to sit quite the same way on you.
That’s where understanding your individual proportions can be incredibly useful.
By looking at the relationship between different areas of your body, including shoulders, waist, hips, vertical proportions and overall balance — I can identify the shapes and clothing details that naturally work particularly well with you.
But I don’t believe understanding your body should leave you with another list of things you’re supposedly not allowed to wear.
Your proportions are information, not restrictions.
4. Then comes the reflection
Our relationship with our bodies is rarely just about clothes.
Many of us have spent years learning which parts we’re supposed to hide.
Which parts should look smaller.
Which parts should look bigger.
What we’re supposedly too old, too short, too tall, too curvy or simply not the right shape to wear.
Others have wardrobes full of clothes chosen for a body they used to have, or a body they’re still waiting to have.
And sometimes our relationship with our body has changed because our body has changed.
That’s why your Body Reflections experience doesn’t end with your analysis.
You’ll also receive your Body Reflections Journal, designed to help you explore the way you see and speak about your body and begin experimenting with dressing it in a way that feels comfortable, compassionate and authentically yours.
3. Your Personal Body & Style Guidance
Once we’ve established your proportions, we’ll translate the theory into something useful.
You’ll receive personalised guidance around clothing shapes and styling details that naturally work with your body, including suggestions for incorporating them into your wardrobe.
But this is where Body Reflections moves beyond simply receiving a list of “flattering” clothes.
Because something being technically well-suited to your proportions doesn’t automatically mean it’s something you’ll want to wear.
And it doesn’t need to be.
We’ll consider your preferences, your comfort and your relationship with your body, so you can use your analysis as a starting point rather than another set of restrictions.
The aim is to give you more confidence and choice — not fewer options.
2. Your Personal Body & Proportion Analysis
I’ll personally analyse the information, measurements and photographs you’ve provided to understand your individual proportions.
I’ll consider factors including:
your overall body shape
shoulder, waist and hip proportions
vertical proportions and balance
how different clothing shapes interact with your frame
From this, I’ll identify the styling principles that are likely to work particularly well for you and create your personalised Body Reflections report.
Rather than simply telling you “you are this body shape”, I’ll explain why particular shapes, proportions and clothing details work for you and what I’m seeing within your individual proportions.
Because understanding the why makes the information far easier to use.
1. Your Reflection Form
We’ll begin with a personalised online consultation.
You’ll complete your Body Reflections form and submit the photographs and measurements I need to carry out your analysis, along with information about your current relationship with your body, the clothes you feel most and least comfortable wearing and anything you’d particularly like help understanding.
This gives me more than measurements to analyse.
It gives me context about you.

Body Reflections might be for you if...
You regularly struggle to understand why clothes look different on you than they did online or on somebody else.
Your body has changed and you’re not quite sure how to dress it anymore.
You have a wardrobe full of clothes but only feel genuinely comfortable in a small percentage of them.
You’ve spent years trying to dress in ways that make parts of your body look smaller, slimmer or different.
You’re unsure which shapes and proportions naturally work with your frame.
Shopping has become frustrating because you don’t know what you’re looking for.
You’ve followed body-shape advice before but found the rules restrictive or overly focused on hiding perceived “flaws”.
Or perhaps you’d simply like to understand your body better and approach getting dressed from a place of curiosity rather than criticism.
What Body Reflections isn’t
This isn’t about identifying everything that’s “wrong” with your body and teaching you how to disguise it.
You won’t hear me tell you that your hips need balancing, your stomach needs hiding or your legs need making longer.
And discovering that certain shapes naturally complement your proportions doesn’t suddenly make everything else “unflattering”.
There is an important difference between:
“This shape works particularly well with my proportions.”
and
“I’m not allowed to wear anything else.”
Body analysis should give you useful information.
What you do with that information remains entirely yours.
That’s central to the Pick Up The Mirror approach.

Understand the guidelines. Then make them yours.
Perhaps you’ll finally understand why that particular pair of trousers always feels so good.
Perhaps you’ll experiment with a shape you’ve spent years believing your body “couldn’t” wear.
Or perhaps you’ll simply stop blaming your body when a piece of clothing doesn’t fit the way you hoped.
Whatever you discover, I don’t want you to finish Body Reflections thinking:
Now I know how I’m supposed to dress my body.
I’d much rather you think:
Now I understand my body — and I know how I want to dress it.
Because the goal isn’t creating the illusion of a different body.
It’s understanding the one you already have, having more confidence in the choices available to you and giving yourself permission to decide what feels right.
Pick up the mirror.
See yourself clearly.
